BEST INTERIOR DESIGN AND FURNISHING
BEST KITCHEN
Nick Smith of Kensington Custom Homes teams with Heritage Design Studio and Heritage Interiors to deliver what is certain to be one of the most distinct homes in the history of Fort Worth Magazine’s Dream Street. The large, 7,500+-square-foot home will provide tour-goers the experience of English Arts and Crafts architecture and design.
Featuring an asymmetrical façade, a steeply pitched roof, dormers, and windows of nontraditional dimensions, the home will provide visitors with a sense of happening upon a massive cottage in Cornwall. The style emphasizes simplicity, functionality, and attention to detail. “There are unexpected nuances within the home,” Marlene Small, one of the Interior Designers for the project shares. “In English designs, there is always a bit of whimsy, such as a window that’s not quite where you expect it to be or a door that’s at a different height. There is a story within the home that is created.”
